Things to check if you can not find any ip camera:
  1. Your ip camera is powered on.
  2. Your ip camera is connected to a router, either through ethernet cable or wifi. For the first time use, you should connect your ip camera to router with a network cable.
  3. Your computer and your ip camera are in the same local network, i.e. connected to the same router.
  4. Check your ip camera's manual, some ip cameras have default ip address, like 192.168.1.178. If your router's ip address is not 192.168.1.x, then you are in trouble. oh, no. but you still have chance. Basically, you need to configure your router so it's ip address is 192.168.1.1. Restart your router, scan again or directly open the camera's ip address. Once you found your ip camera, you can configure it to use DHCP (e.g. automatically get ip address) so no matter your router is, it can always be found using this webapp. Another way is find/borrow a router with ip address 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.xxx, and connect the ip camera to that router, also conncect your computer to that router and scan again.
  5. Your ip camera is a refurbished one and has been set by other guys, its port is not 80. Reset your ip camera (usually by pressing a button inside a hole in the bottom of the camera) when it's power on.
  6. I have no idea. Tell me your camera's brand (and or model number)
